Generic Host Process Error

I have faced this stupid "Generic host proccess for win32 services has encountered a problem and needs to be closed" error  alot while browsing the internet on windows xp.

Generic host process error

Why do you see "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem" or similar error messages?

The are several possible reasons of this error message.
Reason 1: You have one of numerous worms, viruses and trojans which pretent themselves to be legal svchost.exe or use legal svchost.exe to run themselves at windows startup. These threats include: CashToolbar Downloader-MY, System1060, CoolWebSearch Svchost32, ADCLICK-AG, ADCLICK-AX, ADUYO-A, AGENT-V, AGOBOT-KL, AUTOTROJ-C and many others.
Reason 2: Some legal DLL which uses svchost.exe to run itself at Windows startup crashed and causec crash of the whole svchost.exe service.
Reason 3: You have just installed update from Microsoft which contains errorneous verison of Windows Installer or double-byte character set (DBCS) characters support (only occures in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)).
Reason 4: You installed old printer or scanner drivers from Hewlett-Packard which are incompatible with the current version of svchost.exe.

How to get rid of generic host process error?
I have browsed alot regarding this error and finally got the simplest solution so i thought to share it with you all :)

1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) by clicking Start menu, and then click the Run icon.
2. In the small box that Opens, type: regedit then click the OK button. The Registry Editor will now have opened.
3. Locate the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > CurrentControlSet > Services > NetBT > Parameters (dont click on + sign ,just click once on parameters only)
In the right-hand side of the window find an option called TransportBindName.
Double click that value, and then delete the default value, thus giving it a blank value.

4. Then you must now navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > OLE
5. You will see there is a String Value called: EnableDCOM
Set the value to: N (it should currently be Y)
6. Close the Registry Editor. Restart your computer.
